Terms of Service
Last updated: July 1, 2026 · Pilot demo — not legally binding.
1. Pilot programme
Platter is currently operating as a pilot in Ontario, Canada. Payments, subscriptions, and all data are simulated for demonstration and testing purposes. No real money is collected through the Platter platform during the pilot.
2. Kitchen partner relationships
Platter connects customers with independent home kitchen partners. All food is prepared by individual kitchen partners. Platter is not a restaurant, caterer, or food manufacturer. Kitchen partners are responsible for food safety, hygiene, and compliance with applicable local regulations.
3. Payments
During the pilot, payments are handled directly between customers and kitchen partners via Interac e-Transfer or cash. Platter does not process, hold, or facilitate any financial transactions. Payment disputes must be resolved between the customer and the kitchen partner directly.
4. Subscriptions and cancellations
Subscription terms, cancellation policies, and refund policies are set by each individual kitchen partner and displayed on their kitchen page. Platter does not guarantee refunds or credits for any reason during the pilot.
5. Accounts
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials. You must be 18 years of age or older to create an account. Platter reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.
6. Limitation of liability
Platter is provided "as is" during the pilot. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Platter and its operators disclaim all warranties, express or implied. Platter shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service.
7. Changes to terms
We may update these terms as the pilot progresses. Continued use of Platter constitutes acceptance of any revised terms.
